Grown and dyed in Madagascar from the dried and shredded leaves of the palmyra palm tree, this Tjanpi raffia boxed collection comes in 10 bright, bold colours. The 25g bundles are a handy size for beginners or for those who need a small quantity of bright raffia to add a splash of colour to their weaving.

Tjanpi raffia is used by the Tjanpi Desert Weavers… a social enterprise of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council, working with women in the remote Central and Western deserts of Australia, who earn an income from contemporary fibre art. The Raffia Connection makes an annual donation from sales of Tjanpi raffia back to the NPY Women’s Council.
Length of Tjanpi raffia strands are approximately 1.2 – 1.5 metres long.
