Tjanpi Raffia Full Range

Grown and dyed in Madagascar from the dried and shredded leaves of the palmyra palm tree, the Tjanpi raffia range comes in 14 bright, bold colours. 250g bundles offer an extremely economical price point to suit those on a budget. Please note weight of bundles may vary.

Tjanpi raffia is used by the Tjanpi Desert Weavers… a social enterprise of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council, working with women in the remote Central and Western deserts of Australia, who earn an income from contemporary fibre art. The Raffia Connection makes an annual donation from sales of Tjanpi raffia back to the NPY Women’s Council. 

Length of Tjanpi raffia strands are approximately 1.2 – 1.5 metres long.

Note: As raffia is a natural product, dye colours and weight may vary. The colour of this product may differ from the colour displayed on your monitor or device. The dye on this product may come off on your hands. To remove, wash hands with warm soapy water. Dye colours may fade in sunlight.
